Govt decreases petrol price by Re0.12, diesel's by Re0.66 per litre for next 3 days

The government has slightly decreased petrol and high-speed diesel prices, effective from August 1 to August 3, 2026, following a review by OGRA.

The government decreased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Re0.12 and Re0.66 per litre, respectively, with the revised rates taking effect from Saturday, August 1 till Monday, August 3, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) was decreased by Re0.12 per litre, taking it from Rs336.15 to Rs336.03 per litre.
The price of HSD went down by Re0.66 per litre, from Rs393.04 to Rs392.38 per litre.
The new prices will remain in effect until Monday, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.
In the previous review on Thursday, the government increased the prices of petrol and HSD by Rs1.09 and Rs2.42 per litre, respectively.
