KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Appraisement, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, has registered an FIR against Petroleum Company, accusing for illegally removing petrol worth Rs2.37 billion from a bonded warehouse and evading an estimated Rs1.26 billion in duties, taxes and petroleum levy.
According to the details, the consignments of Mogas RON 92 were allegedly removed from bonded warehouse on June 28, 2026.
Customs authorities put the ascertained value of the goods allegedly removed illegally at approximately Rs2,377 million, with the evaded duty, taxes and levy estimated at around Rs1,259 million.
The nature of the offence is described in the FIR as the illegal removal of goods from a customs bonded warehouse without payment of applicable duty, taxes and petroleum levy.
The case has been filed in the Court of the Special Judge (Customs, Taxation & Anti-Smuggling), Karachi. Further Investigation is underway to take responsible persons to task.
