Santander's Q2 net profit up 3% compared to same period in 2025
- The euro zone’s largest lender in terms of market value booked a net profit of €3.52 billion

MADRID: Spain’s Santander said on Wednesday its net profit in the second quarter rose 3% from the same period in 2025, supported by higher revenues and two months’ contributions of British lender TSB, which was partly offset by restructuring charges in Britain.
The euro zone’s largest lender in terms of market value booked a net profit of €3.52 billion ($4.02 billion), up from €3.43 billion in the same quarter last year.
Without the restructuring charges OF €250 million related to the integration of TSB, underlying net profit rose 17% year-on-year to €3.77 billion. Analysts polled by Reuters expected an underlying net profit of €3.75 billion.
