LAHORE: A three-day photo exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China opened at the Punjab Assembly, showcasing the enduring friendship, historic milestones, and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The exhibition titled ‘Pakistan-China Friendship’ features a collection of photographs by senior photographer Amir Khan. It was jointly inaugurated by Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan and Chinese Consul General Sun Yan.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan described Pakistan-China relations as a model of mutual trust, respect, and unwavering cooperation. He said the exhibition reflects the shared history and achievements of the two countries and would help educate the younger generation about the significance of their longstanding friendship.
He said Pakistan-China strategic partnership had played a pivotal role in promoting regional peace, economic development, and prosperity, adding the two countries had consistently stood by each other through every challenge.
Chinese Consul General Sun Yan said the friendship between Pakistan and China has stood the test of time and continues to grow stronger with each passing year. He expressed confidence that expanding people-to-people contacts and cultural exchanges would further deepen bilateral ties in the years ahead.
The exhibition highlights key moments in Pakistan-China relations through a collection of rare photographs depicting diplomatic engagement, cultural cooperation, and joint development initiatives.
Among those attending the inauguration ceremony were members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, including Amina Hassan Sheikh, Hina Parvez Butt, and Sarah Ahmad, along with officials of the Chinese Consulate, parliamentarians, and representatives of educational institutions.
Students from various universities and colleges also visited the exhibition and showed keen interest in learning about the evolution of Pakistan-China relations. Visitors appreciated the collection as a visual tribute to one of the world’s most enduring strategic partnerships.
The exhibition will remain open for three days for members of the public, students, and visitors from different walks of life.
