ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Wednesday said Pakistan and Turkiye would further strengthen their deep-rooted bilateral ties and jointly move towards greater development and prosperity.
Addressing a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of Turkiye’s Democracy and National Unity Day, Tarar said relations between the two countries had grown stronger over time and were supported by close people-to-people bonds.

The minister paid tribute to the 250 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Turkiye and expressed complete solidarity with their families. He said the sacrifices of martyrs gave nations the courage and strength to overcome challenges.
Tarar said Pakistan had consistently supported Turkiye’s positions, while Turkiye had always backed Pakistan’s voice on the Kashmir issue.
Recalling his recent visit to Istanbul, the minister said he had personally witnessed the depth of Pakistan-Turkiye friendship and the warmth shown towards Pakistanis in Turkiye.
He said the relationship between the two countries had been passed down from generation to generation and was a valuable legacy inherited from their forefathers.
