KARACHI: Karachi Jamaat-e-Islami chief Monem Zafar has expressed grave concern over the rising number of traffic accidents in the city, revealing that 480 people, including 55 women and 56 children, have lost their lives in road crashes so far this year.
Speaking to the media on Friday, he strongly criticized the government and police for failing to control deadly accidents, saying the death toll itself proved that official claims of declining traffic accidents were false.
