LAHORE: Pakistan’s cement sector ended fiscal year 2025-26 on a positive note as robust domestic demand lifted overall dispatches by 7.21 percent, despite a modest contraction in exports, reveals the data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA)

According to the data, local sales increased from 37.906 million tons during the fiscal year ended on 30th June, 2025, to 41.507 million tons during the fiscal year ended on 30th June, 2026, showing an increase of 9.5 percent.

On the export side, industry experienced decline by 2.19 percent as the volumes dropped to 9.008 million tons during the fiscal year ended 30th June, 2026, compared to 9.210 million tons exports done during the last fiscal year. Overall the industry achieved volumes of 50.515 million tons compared to 47.116 million tons during last fiscal year.

During the month of June, 2026, total cement dispatches were 4.331 million tons against 3.658 million tons dispatched during the same month of last fiscal year, showing an increase by 18.38 percent. Local cement dispatches were 3.541 million tons compared to 2.793 million tons in June 2025, showing an increase of 26.78 percent.

Exports dispatches, on the contrary, declined by 8.73 percent as the volumes reduced from 865,387 tons in June 2025 to 789,840 tons in June 2026.

In June 2026, North-based cement mills dispatched 3.019 million tons cement showing an increase of 16.39 percent against 2.594 million tons dispatches in June 2025.

South-based mills dispatched 1.31 million tons cement during June 2026 that was 23.23 percent more compared to the dispatches of 1.065 million tons during June 2025.

North based cement mills dispatched 3.019 million tons cement in domestic markets in June 2026 showing an increase of 26.53 percent against 2.386 million tons dispatches in June 2025. South based mills dispatched 522,021 tons cement in local markets during June 2026 that was 28.24 percent more compared to the dispatches of 407,069 tons during June 2025.

There were no exports from North based mills during June 2026. Exports from South jumped by 20.12 percent to 789,840 tons in June 2026 from 657,527 tons during the same month last year.

During the fiscal year ended on 30th June, 2026, north based Mills dispatched 34.720 million tons cement domestically showing an increase of 10.83 percent than cement dispatches of 31.329 million tons during the last fiscal year.
