ISLAMABAD: The Finance Division on Thursday revised the Anomaly Committee-Business and Anomaly Committee-Technical, which were constituted to identify and remove the business-related anomalies in the Finance Bill 2026.

Finance Division issued a revised notification, which stated that in continuation of this Office’s Notification of even number dated June 14, 2026, the Minister for Finance & Revenue has been pleased to include Atif Ikram Sheikh, President, FPCCI, Karachi, as co-Chair of the Anomaly Committee-Business.

Another notification stated that in partial modification of this Office’s Notification of even number dated June 12, 2026, the Minister for Finance & Revenue has been pleased to rectify the composition of the subject Committee to the extent of representation from Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA), which may be read as: Muhammad Mehmood Bikiya, President KTBA, Member.

The Division had earlier issued a notification which noted that the Terms of Reference (TOR) include; To review the business-related anomalies identified and submitted, and to advise FBR on the removal of anomalies.
