The tax collection target of the FBR was revised downward - from Rs14,307 billion to Rs13,979 billion for 2025-26, reflecting a decrease of Rs328 billion.

Now, the tax machinery is facing an impossible task to collect a huge amount of Rs 2,752 billion in the last month of the current fiscal year, i.e., June 2026.
