ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed a highly wanted militant commander, identified as Khariji Umar alias Jan Mir alias Tor Saqib, along with four other terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, security sources said on Thursday.
According to security sources, the slain militant commander carried a bounty of Rs3 million and was allegedly involved in multiple terrorist attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians in the region.
Sources said the operation was conducted after intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants in the area. During the operation, security forces successfully surrounded the terrorists and eliminated them after an intense exchange of fire.
