Pakistan’s defense impregnable, says CDF Asim Munir
- Describes Marka-e-Haq as a decisive clash between two ideologies, where 'truth prevailed while falsehood was defeated'
Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said on Sunday that Pakistan, its people and armed forces achieved an “unparalleled victory” in Marka-e-Haq, also referred to as the “Battle for Truth,” and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
Addressing a ceremony marking one year of the operation at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army chief described Marka-e-Haq as a decisive clash between two ideologies in which “truth prevailed while falsehood was defeated.”
He said India sought to undermine Pakistan through military aggression and diplomatic isolation to alter the regional balance of power, but added that such ambitions were beyond India’s “stature and capabilities.”
“Pakistan will never allow such designs to succeed,” he said.

Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the conflict, particularly women, elderly citizens and children who lost their lives.
“We consider the sacrifices of our martyrs a sacred trust, our strength a responsibility, and our success a blessing from Almighty Allah,” he said.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position on national security, he said there could be “no compromise” on the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity.
He claimed India had suffered heavy human and economic losses during the conflict and would continue to bear the consequences for years.
The army chief said Pakistan’s Fatah missile system and Pakistan Air Force assets had struck more than 26 enemy military targets during the operation.
“By the grace of Allah, Pakistan’s defense against any external aggression is now completely impregnable,” he said, warning that any future “adventurism” against Pakistan would invite “far-reaching and painful consequences.”
Field Marshal Munir also highlighted the changing nature of warfare, saying future conflicts would involve multi-domain operations using long-range weapons, drones, cyber capabilities and artificial intelligence.
To meet modern defense requirements, he said, the Defense Forces Headquarters had been established.
He further described Pakistan’s strategic mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia as a major diplomatic achievement.
