Published Updated

Fast Cables Limited (FCL) announced on Wednesday that it had completed the consolidation of its Unit 1 with Unit 2 in Lahore.

The company announced the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

It added that the consolidation is expected to deliver annual cost savings of approximately Rs100 million going forward, “along with improved quality assurance, faster production cycles, and enhanced overall efficiency across the value chain”.

“With the consolidation now fully implemented, the company is well positioned to support increased production volumes, meet growing customer demand more reliably, and sustain operational excellence,” the notice read.

FCL said that this initiative reflects the continued focus of the company on efficiency, disciplined growth, and long-term value creation for stakeholders.

The company added that the strategic initiative was part of the ongoing efforts of the company to enhance operational efficiency and optimise its manufacturing footprint following recent capacity expansion and modernisation.

“The integration of both units into a single, coordinated manufacturing operation has streamlined production processes, improved resource utilisation, and strengthened operational alignment.”

FCL was initially registered as a partnership named Fast Cables & Co in 1998. It was later incorporated as a public limited company in 2008.

The principal activity of the company is the manufacturing and selling of all types of electric wires, cables and conductors.
