KARACHI: The Sindh government has significantly sped up business approvals through its digital one-window platform, with more than 15,000 businesses registered and over 8,000 licences issued within nine months of its launch.

The Sindh Business One Stop Shop (S-BOSS), introduced under the World Bank-supported CLICK project, integrates 16 government departments and 19 agencies, offering more than 130 licences through a single online system, said Sindh Government spokesperson Sukhdev Hemnani in a statement on Friday.

He said the platform is streamlining procedures by eliminating manual processes and reducing approval times, marking a shift toward greater efficiency and transparency.

“In just nine months, S-BOSS has delivered tangible results, reflecting improved ease of doing business and growing investor confidence in Sindh.”

The system allows entrepreneurs, startups and investors to apply for licences, track applications and receive approvals online, reducing bureaucratic hurdles that have historically slowed business activity.

The platform is also expanding access to government services, particularly benefiting youth and women entrepreneurs by removing the need for intermediaries.

The initiative is expected to support small and medium-sized enterprises, encourage investment and promote innovation in the province.

Authorities described S-BOSS as part of broader efforts to modernise governance and create a more business-friendly environment, aligning with the government’s push to digitise public services and improve economic competitiveness.
