ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts to maintain a delicate ceasefire between the US and Iran, praising what he described as “crucial initiatives” for regional stability.
Meeting the Prime Minister, the newly appointed governor – a staunch PML-N loyalist – also extended his personal best wishes to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The discussions spanned regional peace efforts, provincial matters, and an in-depth briefing on developments in Sindh.
In a separate gathering, Rana Sanaullah, the adviser to the Prime Minister on political affairs, alongside the Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, applauded Sharif’s handling of the Gulf crisis, highlighting the need for sustained diplomatic engagement. The talks also delved into the country’s broader political landscape, governance priorities, and strategic planning.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that his administration is marshalling all available resources to advance public welfare and economic development. He called for a swift acceleration of the public service agenda, urging officials to place citizens’ concerns at the top of the government’s priorities.
