Sindh govt declares public holiday on March 13

  • The holiday will not apply to essential services

The Sindh government has declared Friday, March 13, 2026, as a public holiday across the province, according to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department.

Under the notification, all government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils working under the administrative control of the Sindh government will remain closed on the day.

However, the notification clarified that the holiday will not apply to essential services, which will continue to function as usual.

The notification was issued by the Sindh government on Thursday and signed by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Hyder Shah.
