ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has sought tariff-related proposals from key Chambers of Commerce and Industry associations for the Federal Budget 2026–27, with a deadline of March 10, 2026.
The Ministry had earlier sent letters to the Chambers and Associations on December 24, 2025, and January 30, 2026, inviting customs and tariff-related budget proposals for the fiscal year 2026–27, particularly concerning customs tariff structures.
According to the Ministry, in order to enable the Tariff Policy Centre (TPC) and the Tariff Policy Wing (TPW) of the MoC to properly process and evaluate each proposal, prescribed formats have been attached for submission in MS Excel sheets. Stakeholders have been strictly advised not to use any other format.

The Ministry further advised that, while formulating proposals, the existing Customs Tariff rates should be carefully reviewed and consulted.
Wherever necessary, proposals should be supported with relevant statistical data to avoid rejection due to incomplete information or procedural deficiencies. Stakeholders have also been directed to keep in view the principles, objectives, and targets outlined in the National Tariff Policy 2025–30 (NTP 2025–30) while submitting their recommendations.
In cases where local manufacturers seek tariff protection for finished products or concessions on raw materials, complete data must be provided in accordance with the prescribed format.
