Pakistan embassy seeks information about stranded citizens in UAE
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi is collecting information on Pakistani nationals currently stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to flight delays and airport closures.
“If you are a citizen of Pakistan currently stranded, kindly fill out this form completely and carefully,” the Embassy announced on Monday. The information provided will enable the Embassy to coordinate with the relevant authorities and airlines to extend necessary assistance.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Pakistani Embassy have urged stranded Pakistanis to ensure that all information is accurate before submitting the form.
The Embassy has also facilitated online registration for members of the Pakistani community residing in the United Arab Emirates for outreach and support purposes.
However, only Pakistani nationals who are currently stranded in the United Arab Emirates while travelling are eligible to complete this specific survey, the Embassy clarified. It noted that a general survey had previously been launched, which is being completed by UAE residents and those currently travelling.
Community members are encouraged to register through the designated online link.
In view of the evolving regional situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated its Crisis Management Unit (CMU) to closely monitor developments and provide necessary assistance. The CMU is operational 24/7.
For information or emergency assistance, individuals may contact the CMU at: +92-51-9207887.
All Pakistani nationals residing in the Gulf region are strongly advised to exercise utmost caution, remain indoors where possible, avoid unnecessary travel, and strictly follow the instructions and advisories issued by the respective host governments.
