ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has announced an important relief for medical and dental postgraduate students and degree holders who were admitted before 16th January 2023.
In its meeting held on 7th January 2026, the PMDC decided that all cases of students and degree holders who were admitted or completed their degrees till 16th January 2023 will be registered after the award of their degree by PMDC.
For students admitted after 16th January 2023, it will be mandatory that the degree-awarding institution is recognised by PMDC, and the training centre is accredited under Section 25 of the PMDC Act 2022.
This relief applies to qualifications such as MS, MD, MDS, MPhil, PhD, FCPS, MCPS, and various diploma programmes obtained from Pakistani universities, institutions, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
The PMDC has directed all eligible candidates to complete the registration process in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
