SSGC announces gas supply timings for Ramadan 2026

Published Updated

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced its gas supply schedule for Ramadan 2026 (1447 Hijri), assuring consumers of improved availability and better pressure during sehri and iftar hours.

In a media release issued on Tuesday, the utility extended Ramadan greetings to its customers and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted gas supply for meal preparations during the holy month.

According to the announced schedule, SSGC will provide gas from 3:00am (before sehri) until 10:30pm daily throughout Ramadan 2026.

The company noted that the country’s indigenous gas reserves decline by up to 10% annually, resulting in a noticeable reduction in overall system supply.

However, keeping in view the increased demand during Ramadan, the Government of Pakistan has facilitated additional gas volumes for SSGC, which will be utilized where required.

SSGC advised consumers that in case of low pressure or supply disruptions during the notified hours due to technical reasons, complaints may be lodged through its 24-hour helpline 1199, the company’s mobile application, or at the nearest customer facilitation centre. The company said its operational teams would remain active to address complaints on priority.

Highlighting peak consumption patterns during sehri and iftar — when millions of stoves are used simultaneously — the utility urged customers to ensure responsible gas usage and avoid keeping stoves unnecessarily switched on to help maintain equitable distribution.

The company also warned against the illegal use of gas compressors, terming it unethical and detrimental to neighbouring households, particularly during critical meal preparation hours.

Consumers were encouraged to report such practices via helpline 1199.

SSGC stated that strict legal action, including fines, imprisonment and prolonged disconnection of gas connections, would be taken against violators.
