Minister lauds PM’s power tariff reduction for industries

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Energy Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s decision to reduce electricity tariffs for industries, describing it as a timely and appropriate initiative.

In a statement issued on Friday, the provincial minister said the reduction in power tariffs would provide significant relief to the industrial sector. He added the measure represents an important step toward industrial revival and economic stability.

Faisal Ayub further stated that lower electricity rates would reduce production costs and help boost exports, which, in turn, would promote industrial growth and create new employment opportunities across the country.

The minister emphasized that the PML-N government remains committed to facilitating the industrial sector, highlighting its crucial role in the overall development of the national economy. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a reduction of Rs4.04 per unit in electricity rates for industries.
