ISLAMABAD: A local court on Wednesday consigned to record two cases registered against the incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman, Imran Khan, in connection with the PTI Azadi March of 2022.
Judicial Magistrate Azhar Nadeem, while hearing the two cases registered at Kohsar Police Station, ordered the consignment of the record of the cases.
Khan’s lawyer, Advocate Sardar Muhammad, appeared before the court. During the hearing, he informed the court that several accused had already been acquitted in these cases.
He further said that Khan’s acquittal application in these cases had been pending before the court for the last two years. He also mentioned that his client had not been produced before the court.
Advocate Muhammad requested the court to either hear the pending acquittal petition or proceed to consign the cases. Approving the defence’s request, the court moved to record both cases.
