KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 131,821 Tons of cargo comprising 82,211 Tons of import cargo and 48,610 Tons of export cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 Hours.
The total import cargo of 83,211 Tons comprised of 35,755 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 24,538 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 6,940 Tons of Sony Bean Seeds and 15,978 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 48,610 Tons comprised of 41,450 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 182 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 2,398 Tons of Cement, 156 Tons of Chickpeas, 1,024 Tons of Rice and 3,400 Tons of Liquid Cargo.There are three ships namely Jira Bhum, Seaspan Beauty and Sidra at Berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Eight ships namely Apl Qingdao, M. T. Mardan, Desert Seeker, Glory 1, Jolly Bianco, X-Press Cassiopeia, First Lion, and Seaspan Beauty Sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Paccha, YC Daisy, Hui Doung-36 and Horizon-1 left the port on morning, while two more ships, Vmic Bright and GFS Genesis are expected to sail on afternoon.
Cargo volume of 117,337 tonnes, comprising 75,198 tonnes imports cargo and 42,139 export cargo carried in 3,466 Containers (1,254 TEUs Imports and 2,212 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Al-Soor-II, Venus-09, Joseph and Hansa Africa and two more ships, Spirit of Bertram and Minamoto scheduled to load/offload Gas oil, LPG, Container and Sand are expected to take berths at FOTCO, SSGC, EVTL, QICT and MW-1 on 31st December, 2025.
