LAHORE: A great facility has been introduced for citizens applying for passports online.
A new and modern system has been implemented for verifying fingerprints, which will reduce difficulties faced by applicants.
With the cooperation of the NADRA, an effective fingerprint verification system has been introduced on the Pak ID app, under which citizens submitting online passport applications will now be able to get their fingerprints verified from home.
Local Regional Passport office sources said that in the new system, fingerprint verification will be done using NADRA data through the Pak ID app.
After this step, the need to visit passport offices for fingerprint verification will be eliminated, which will bring speed and transparency in the processing of online passport applications.
According to officials, this system has been introduced to provide better, easier and digital facilities to citizens.
The new fingerprint verification system will significantly reduce time, costs and human contact.
