Pakistan to roll out ‘Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups’

  • Applications to join program as an expert open until December 31, 2025

The government has launched the ‘Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups’ to help tech startups adopt, optimize, and scale on cloud infrastructure.

The program, by Ignite – National Technology Fund, under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, will run for one year. It aims to reduce early-stage infrastructure costs, improve cloud utilization, and build a strong, sustainable cloud ecosystem for Pakistan through a tiered cloud reimbursement model, structured technical enablement, and collaboration with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

The programme will feature tier-based cloud cost reimbursements of up to 60% for startups as well as structured technical guidance to support cloud adoption and optimization.

Ignite said all startups can apply, not just those associated with its National Incubation Centres.

Chosen startups will get a chance to collaborate with interested local and global CSPs to strengthen ecosystem support.

The initiative aims to reduce cloud adoption barriers while enabling startups to scale responsibly and efficiently.

Ignite has put out a call for experienced cloud and technology professionals to contribute to the flagship initiative as mentors.

It is seeking seasoned professionals to serve as experts for the program and help evaluate and select high-potential tech startups; guide them on cloud adoption, architecture, and cost optimization; and support effective collaboration between startups and CSPs.

Applications to join the program as an expert are open until December 31, 2025.
