ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday lauded the “unbreakable” and “time-honoured” ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), emphasising their shared commitment to regional stability and prosperity.

Speaking at an event celebrating the UAE’s 54th National Day, he hailed the decades-long partnership, stressing Pakistan’s pride in its alliance with the Gulf nation.

In a warm message to UAE leadership, he extended his best wishes to President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the people of the UAE, acknowledging the country’s remarkable transformation over the last five decades.

“The UAE’s visionary leadership and its people have been central to driving growth and stability across the region. Pakistan is privileged to share such a strong, historic partnership,” he said.

He also highlighted the UAE’s critical role in supporting Pakistan, particularly during challenging economic periods.

The prime minister further welcomed the UAE’s increasing investments in Pakistan, noting strategic sectors such as renewable energy, fintech, agriculture, AI, and mining.

With Pakistan’s economy showing signs of stabilisation, Sharif said Islamabad is eager to deepen collaboration in these high-potential fields.
