‘I cooperated, but was still tortured,’ Ducky Bhai breaks silence after jail release

Famous Pakistani YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, has broken his 100-day silence following his arrest, sharing with fans the difficult circumstances he faced while in custody.

Ducky was arrested by the National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency (NCCIA) at the Lahore airport in August, while attempting to leave for Malaysia, in connection with a case involving the promotion of gambling applications. He was later released on bail of Rs1 million by the Lahore High Court and walked out of jail on November 26.

Ducky had announced on his X account that he was going to break his silence and that “the internet will never forget this.” On Sunday, he released an emotional video on his YouTube channel, stating that these 100 days were the most difficult days of his life.

He said: “Lack of sleep, severe mental stress, and fear for the future greatly affected me.” He further mentioned that rumours circulating on social media and legal pressure during that time also kept him troubled.

He acknowledged that his physical and mental health were severely affected during this period, but returning home gave him courage and peace.

Ducky explained that the reason for his silence was that he did not want to influence the legal proceedings, so he waited for the appropriate time. Now that the initial legal process is complete, he decided to share the actual situation with his fans.

He said he was arrested while he was going to attend an international event in Malaysia, where he was chosen to represent Pakistan.

Ducky stated that the NCCIA took a 23-day remand of him. He claimed that he had disclosed everything within the first 23 minutes and provided them with the passwords to his mobile, laptop, and all accounts.

Despite all this, he alleged that he was severely tortured, beaten, and abused despite his cooperation. He said the official who was investigating him did not only himself verbally abused but also took a young boy on call and asked him to abuse the YouTuber.

Ducky assured his fans that he is excited to return to work. He is ready to create new content and work on future projects with renewed determination, greater dedication, and energy.

In the end, he specially thanked Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for helping him getting out of this situation.

He reaffirmed that he was not going to leave the country for good.
