Shortfall to shrink after final figures: Nov tax collection seen reaching Rs900bn against Rs995bn target

ISLAMABAD: The tax collection of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will reach around Rs 900 billion during November 2025 against the assigned target of Rs995 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs95 billion.
All Large Taxpayer’s Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayer’s Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) remained open on Saturday (November 29) for collection of duties and taxes.
The FBR’s collection amounted to Rs 895 billion (till Saturday evening) against the tax collection target of Rs995 billion for November 2025, reflecting a shortfall of Rs100 billion.

The achievement of the monthly target is 90 percent during November 2025.
The FBR’s tax collection stood at Rs4,730 billion during the first five-months (July-November) 2025-26 against the target of Rs5045 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs315 billion.
So far, the achievement of the target during (July-November) 2025-26 is 94 percent.
This shortfall would be reduced after compilation of final figures for November 29-30.
