ISLAMABAD: The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested two suspects who allegedly facilitated the suicide attack outside the District Court Complex in Islamabad’s G-11 Sector on November 11, killing 12 and injuring 20.
Sources said that suspected facilitators have been nabbed from Rawalpindi’s Pirwadhai area and Dhoke Kashmirian. Raids were also carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this regard, they said.
Moreover, the investigators of the blast also detained a bike rider who had dropped off the bomber near the judicial complex. The suicide bomber had paid the fare to the bike rider for the ride from Chongi No.26 to the judicial complex, they said, adding the rider was traced through CCTV footage.
They said that after tracing the location of the rider, police picked him up and shifted him to an undisclosed location. The attacker had made multiple attempts to enter the court complex but detonated the explosives near a police vehicle after failing to pass through the security check, they said.
