ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi Friday said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had effectively worked for promoting democracy and supremacy of law.
Nawaz Sharif had launched many welfare projects in the country to achieve milestone, he said talking to PTV.
He said no allegation of corruption was proved against Ex-Prime Minister, who was disqualified on having an Iqama but not corruption charges.
To a question, he said Raza Rabbani had played a pivotal role for strengthening the democracy and supremacy of Senate and law. PML-N wanted to elect Raza Rabbani as Chairman of Senate but Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was showing reluctant in this regard.
Javed Abbasi said the PML-N government was enjoying full support of coalition partners and the senator of Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) regarding Senate Chairman.
