KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that there are vast opportunities for foreign investment in Sindh and Sindh government is providing every possible facility to investors.
He expressed these views while speaking to a delegation of fifteen Russian companies at the Expo Center Karachi on Thursday.
The delegation of Russian businessmen was led by Vitaly Stepanov, Chief Executive Officer of the Moscow Export Center, while Federal Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal was also present on the occasion.
Jam Ikramullah Dharejo briefed the delegation members about investment prospects in Sindh, stating that several Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have already been established in the province, offering secure and promising investment opportunities.
He further informed that the international magazine has ranked the Khairpur Special Economic Zone among the best industrial zones in Asia.
This recognition, he said, is a testament to the Sindh government’s successful policies, as the Khairpur Zone has been placed on par with the industrial zones of China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
The provincial minister added that the Khairpur Special Economic Zone is playing a key role in promoting employment, exports, and investment. The Sindh government, he emphasized, is ready to extend full cooperation to Russian investors.
He also mentioned that a delegation of Sindh-based investors will soon visit Russia to further strengthen trade and industrial relations.
