HYDERABAD: The present Sindh Government has taken effective measures for ensuring quality education in public sector educational institutions so that the children of common people of the province could meet the same standard of education as being provided in private sector institutions.
This was stated by the Commissioner Hyderabad Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo while presiding over a meeting with the officers of Education Department here at Shahbaz Hall on Friday to review the provision of facilities in public sector education institutions of Hyderabad Division.
He asked the officers concerned to restore service structure and personally monitor the development schemes being carried out in education sector so that maximum facilities could be ensured for students of government educational institutions.
He also advised them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and devotion and make their all out efforts to improve the literacy rate by providing quality education to future generation of Hyderabad Division.
He asked the Deputy Commissioners of all districts of the division to pay surprise visits to government schools and ensure the availability of required facilities as desired by the provincial government.
The Commissioner on the occasion reviewed the arrangements of opening of closed schools, provision of safe drinking water, attendance of teachers and students, upgrading of schools with construction of boundary walls.
The Director Higher Secondary School Hyderabad Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah briefed the Commissioner Hyderabad about the pace of ongoing development work and implementation of directives for improvement of quality education in government educational institutions.
