Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday dismissed calls for an apology, saying she has nothing to apologize for, while asserting that those who criticized the province during natural calamities should themselves seek forgiveness, Aaj News reported.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the electric bus project, Maryam declared, “Why should I apologize? Those who maligned Punjab in times of crisis must apologize instead.”
In a veiled reference to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), she cautioned political rivals to “think a hundred times before speaking about Punjab.”
