KARACHI: Zong CMPak has signed a strategic partnership with Zindigi, JS Bank’s fastest-growing digital banking initiative, to facilitate branchless banking services for Government-to-Person (G2P) programs.

Under this collaboration, Zindigi will provide M-Wallets to Zong customers, enabling beneficiaries in remote and underserved areas to receive monthly cash assistance directly into their accounts. The program primarily targets government poverty alleviation and disaster management initiatives, with funds accessible via Zindigi’s nationwide network of agents and ATMs.

Farooq Raza Khan, Head of Business Solutions at Zong, said that the partnership represents a significant step in leveraging digital innovation to provide financial access to marginalized communities.

He added that combining Zong’s extensive connectivity with Zindigi’s digital banking platform simplifies and secures transactions for those who need those the most, highlighting the potential of public-private partnerships to deliver scalable social solutions.

Faisal Khalid Bashir, Chief Product Officer at Zindigi, noted that the collaboration ensures government disbursements can reach millions efficiently, particularly in underserved regions, marking a transformative step toward a digitally inclusive Pakistan.

The initiative is expected to improve timely fund delivery while strengthening Pakistan’s digital banking ecosystem. Both Zong and Zindigi reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging technology to drive inclusive growth and create meaningful social impact, supporting the country’s transition toward a digitally enabled economy.
