KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 100,777 tonnes of cargo comprising 74,772 tonnes of import cargo and 26,005 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 74,772 comprised of 45,769 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,931 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 8,669 tonnes of Dap & 18,403 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 26,005 comprised of 18,180 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 7,300 tonnes of Clinkers & 525 tonnes of rice.
Around, 07, ships namely, Navios Jasmine, Kmtc Colombo, Codco New York, Siya Ram, Monica, Groton & Swan Lake, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 03 ships, namely Gfs Prime, Hmm Oakland & Cma Cgm Pointe-Noire, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of five ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, GFS Prime and Hafnia Tanzanite are left the port on Wednesday morning.
Cargo volume of 105,585 tonnes, comprising 50,586 tonnes imports cargo and 54,999 export cargo carried in 3,440 Containers (1,248 TEUs Imports &2,192 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are eight ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, M Bright and Damsgaard & two more ships, Lebrethah and Hansa Africa carrying Palm oil, Chemicals, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, EVTL, EETL and QICT respectively on Wednesday18th June, 2025.
