The case includes charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act, inciting religious hatred, spreading disorder, pressuring the judiciary, threatening the higher judiciary, interfering in government affairs, and obstructing legal duties.

According to the FIR, Pir Zaheer ul Hasan spread hatred against the higher judiciary during a protest outside the press club. He announced a reward of Rs10 million for bringing the head of Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

Speaking to a press conference earlier today, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said the state wouldn’t allow anyone to spread hatred and issue “fatwas” against the judiciary.

“There has been malicious propaganda about the chief justice and he has been targeted for a long time,” ministers said in the presser, vowing to take strict action against those involved in the matter.
