ROME: Italy's anti-establishment Five Star Movement said Monday it "feels the responsibility to form a government for Italy" after winning more votes than any other single party in a national election.
"This election was a triumph for the Five Star Movement. We are the winners," the party's leader Luigi Di Maio told a news conference.
He said his party, which obtained 32 percent of the vote, was ready to open discussions "with all political actors" to help form a majority in parliament.
