LAHORE: The victory of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) in Senate elections is a harbinger of its success in general election 2018.
Punjab Minister for Local Governments Mansha-Ullah Butt said this while talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said that the party leadership, members of assemblies and elected Senators deserve congratulations on this occasion. The minister said that the PML-N had achieved another milestone through this victory.
"It's actually a defeat of those who were saying that there would be no Senate elections and even the assemblies would be dissolved before general election, but all that propaganda had proved wrong," he added.
He said that the PML-N was taking the country ahead on political, economic and all other fronts. The minister said that newly-elected Senators have complete confidence in the PML-N leadership.
He lauded the PML-N MPAs and said that they did not bow before any pressure from the opposition and exercised their right to vote. He said that the PML-N government performance is matchless in all walks of life.
