Senate polls show PML-N's popularity: minister

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Khalil Tahar Sandhu has congratulated the PML-N-backed Senate candidates over their victory in the election.

In a message issued here on Sunday, he said that Senate election had approved that the PML-N was the largest party of the country and could not be expelled from the hearts of people through lies.

The minister said that newly-elected senators should utilize all their energies for supremacy of the constitution, rule of law and strengthening of the democratic system in the country.
