KARACHI: The women wing of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chapter on Wednesday staged a rally for Palestinians in the megacity, asking the rulers to raise their voice against the Zionist atrocities.
A large number of women took to streets in the city’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area holding placards and banners and chanting shouts against Israel and its western allies for their continuing war crimes in Gaza. Addressing the rally, JI Karachi Chief Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman asked the citizens to raise their voice and funds for the underdog Palestinians suffering huge humanly losses at the hands of the Zionist government.
He lambasted the US, Britain and European countries for their unconditional and unjustified support to Israel’s war crimes in Gaza. He termed the western human rights standards “paradoxical”.
