KARACHI: Business Recorder’s (BR) senior staff reporter, and Karachi Press Club’s former Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti was mugged by unknown motorcyclists, here in the jurisdictions of Hydari Market police station.

As per details, the incident took place in front of a famous departmental store located on North Nazimabad Block F, the other day.

CCTV footage of the incident shows two armed accused on a motorbike appeared suddenly, one of them disembarked, and held Rizwan Bhatti hostage on gunpoint, snatched his mobile phone, other valuables, and fled the scene along with his accomplice on the same bike.

The first information report (FIR) No-450/2023 has been registered with the Hydari Police Station: however, the concerned police have not been able to nab the culprits.

Karachi Press Club (KPC), Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ), and Crime Reporters’ Association (CRA) have condemned the robbery incident, and urged the police to arrest the dacoits as earlier as possible.

They have also asked Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh to ensure protection of public lives and properties.
