KARACHI: Gold prices on Monday slumped, but silver grew on the local market, traders said.

Gold lost value by Rs2500 to Rs222200 per tola and Rs2143 to Rs190501 per 10 grams.

Silver was traded for Rs2800 per tola, up by Rs50 and Rs2400.54 per 10 grams, up by Rs42.86.

On the world market, gold prices stood for $1959 per ounce and silver for $24.47 per ounce, traders said.
