KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 24,502.55 points with a positive change of 119.61 and volume of 146,635,100 shares. High and Low were 24,567.65 and 24,292.25 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 15 were up, 15 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 229,930,650 shares. Total companies traded were 371 of which 202 were positive, 153 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Engineering was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 37,333,000 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 28,096,550 shares.

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 120 and price per share of 12,495 (595.00), Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 7,455 (355.00), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 9,460 and price per share of 2,048.10 (51.51).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 2,655.05 (-104.95), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 2,900 (-100.00), United Brands Limited with a volume of 12,800 and price per share of 534.50 (-15.50).
