NAB references against Nawaz: Court adjourns hearing till March 2

ISLAMABAD: Accountability court adjourned hearing on National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) supplementary references against ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif till Friday.
On Thursday hearing, five prosecution witnesses recorded their testimony before the accountability court judge Mohammed Bashir.
Defence lawyer Khawaja Harris cross examined five witnesses including, Naveed-ur-Rehman special security guard at Pakistan High Commission in London, Zaki-ud-Din, Assistant at the High Commission, Rao Abdul Hanan and Rizwan in the Flagship reference.
Whereas three witnesses in Al-Azizia case include Irfan, Mohammad Ali Raza, Suneel Ijaza would record their statements on next hearing.
When the statements of the witnesses were recorded the court adjourned further hearing of the case till March 2.
Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared in the court.
On July 28, a five-member Supreme Court bench had ordered NAB to file three references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and one against Dar, on petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Imran Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Sirajul Haq and Awami Muslim League’s Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
