PIA commences flight operations to Istanbul
KARACHI: Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has commenced its flight operations to Istanbul.
PIA flights to Turkiye give passengers easy travel access to 28 cities in Europe, UK and the US.
PIA is the first Pakistani airline to provide travel facilities from Istanbul to various cities of USA, UK and Europe with connecting flights of Turkish Airlines.
Two weekly flights from Lahore and four weekly flights from Islamabad are being started.
A cake cutting ceremony was organized on the occasion of the inaugural flight at Lahore Airport where Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique was the chief guest.
Speaking at the event, the minister said Pakistan and Turkiye share deep historical and common cultural ties and PIA’s Istanbul operation is being conducted to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between two countries.
