LAHORE: The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) on Wednesday decreased the spot rate by Rs 300 per maund and closed it at Rs 18000 per maund.

Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that spot rate witnessed a decreased of Rs 800 per maund in the last two days. The local cotton market remained easy on and the trading volume remained satisfactory.

He also told that the rate of cotton in Sind is in between Rs 17,000 to Rs 17,300 per maund. The rate of cotton in Punjab is in between Rs 17400 to Rs 17800 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Sindh is in between Rs 7000 to Rs 8000 per 40 Kg. The rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 7200 to Rs 8200 per 40 Kg. The rate of Phutti in Balochistan is Rs 8400 per 40 Kg.

7000 bales of Tando Adam were sold at Rs 17800 to Rs 18500 per maund, 3600 bales of Sanghar were sold at Rs 17900 to Rs 18200 per maund, 1000 bales of Mir Pur Khas were sold at Rs 17900 to Rs 18200 per maund, 1400 bales of Shahdad Pur were sold at Rs 18000 to Rs 18250 per maund, 400 bales of Khipro were sold at Rs 18000 per maund, 400 bales of Nauabad were sold at Rs 17800 to Rs 18000 per maund, 400 bales of Mian Chanu were sold at Rs 18650 to Rs 18700 per maund, 400 bales of Chichawatni were sold at Rs 18525 to Rs 18600 per maund, 200 bales of Lodhran were sold at Rs 18600 per maund, 200 bales of Layyah were sold at Rs 18500 per maund, 400 bales of Samundri were sold at Rs 18500 to Rs 18650 per maund, 200 bales of Burewala were sold at Rs 18400 per maund and 200 bales of Shujabad were sold at Rs 18350 per maund.

The Spot Rate Committee of the Karachi Cotton Association on Wednesday decreased the spot rate by Rs 300 per maund and closed it at Rs 18000 per maund. The Polyester Fiber was available at Rs 325 per kg.
