People have great affiliation with Nawaz Sharif: Zafarul haq

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the House in Senate, Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq Monday said the people had great associations with their beloved leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and no one could remove his love from their hearts.

Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was still most popular political leader and the one who had strengthened the Pakistan Muslim League, he said while talking to a private news channel.

He said, some elements were trying to create rift in the party but it was fully united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, adding that he would enjoy the power of decisions of PML, no matter whosoever leads the party.

Pakistan Muslim League was that political party which had created Pakistan and it was the party of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he said.

He said that despite many challenges, the PML-N had been progressing ahead. He lamented that the negative and low standard politics, which is in practice now-a-days, was not in favour of the country.

He hopped that independent candidates would remain loyal and would not change their affiliations with the party.

He said the decision pertaining to next prime minister of the country would be taken during party meeting scheduled on Tuesday.
