Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan claimed on Thursday that deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had changed the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath to please an international lobby.

Addressing a press conference, he said that the public is waiting for Senator Raja Zafarul Haq-led committee's report. He added that the public was waiting for the report to know who was behind the conspiracy. Till now the report has yet to be made public.

The PTI chairman further accused Sharif of conducting secret meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save himself from the army.

Government submits Faizabad sit-in report to IHC

On February 20, government had submitted the Zafarul Haq-led committee to Islamabad High Court regarding the controversy in the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath in the Elections Act 2017, which had led to protesters camping at Faizabad interchange for more than two weeks.

The report was submitted by the government in a sealed envelope. Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui had also ordered to hold court proceedings on a daily basis.
