ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday said that 25 candidates will contest Senate elections from Balochistan province on Technocrat, General and Women seats.

According to ECP, 15 candidates will contest for General seats, six for women seats and four candidates were in the run for Technocrat seats including Ulema.

It said four candidates on Technocrat seats included Professor Dr Abdul Manaf Tareen, Kamran Murtaza, Muhammad Tahir Bazinjo and Naseebullah Bazai.

Six candidates for Women seats included Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Sana Jamali, Shama Parveen Magsi, Tahira Khursheed, Abida Muhammad Azeem and Azra Syed. Similarly, 15 candidates who were contesting elections on General seats included Ahmed Khan, Amir Afzal Khan, Anwar-Ul-Haq, Hussain Islam, Sardar Muhammad Shafeeq Tareen, Allauddin, Fateh Mohammad Baloch, Kauda Babar, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Muhammad Abdul Qadir, Muhammad Yousaf Khan Kakar, Molvi Faiz Mohammad, Nizam-Ud-Din Kakar and Hamayun Aziz Kurd.
