NAB launches another inquiry against NBP President
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday initiated another inquiry against the former President of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Saeed Ahmed.
As per details, the Bureau sought out records from the secretary board of directors of the bank. The accountability watchdog is already investigating illegal appointments and promotions case against Ahmed.
He is alleged to have appointed blue-eyed persons in the NBP over the advice of influential persons in 2017.
The investigators also sought details of promotions awarded to OG-III officers to SEVP position and approval notes of NBP board of directors, ARY News reported.
Legal process for making appointments and promotions in the bank were also sought by the NAB officials. They also questioned the bank management for providing records regarding advertisements for appointments and regulations for finalising salaries of the employees.
