KARACHI: Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the last date for e-filing the monthly sales tax return for the tax period of September 2020.

In a letter sent to the chairman FBR, KTBA said that its members were facing severe problems in e-filing the monthly sales tax return for the tax period of September 2020, due to non-working of FBR web-portal.

In addition, KTBA cited that many of CPRs which were paid by using ADC-Payment option were not being reflected in banks folders and consequently taxpayers were unable to upload their tax challans and were unable to e-file the sales tax return for the tax period September 2020.

Keeping the said problems in view, KTBA has requested the chairman FBR to extend the date for e-filing the monthly sales tax return for the tax period September 2020 at the earliest convenience to facilitate its members and the compliant taxpayers to fulfill their legal obligation properly.
